I visited view brew on a Thursday afternoon while exploring rooftop restaurant in Ekantakuna. I was looking for a place that offers enough vegetarian options with a calm dining environment, and this restaurant had been on my list for a while. Located on the 4th floor with both indoor seating and an open rooftop, it offers something many people are actually looking for these days: space, views, and time.

From one side, you can see the hills and a beautiful sunset, while the other side offers a perfect view of the city skyline. The place was very clean and the environment was calm without any noise.

Seating is relaxed, lighting is warm, and there is enough space to enjoy a sense of privacy even when the place gets busy. Indoors, the atmosphere feels cozy and casual, making it a good option when the weather isn’t ideal. The indoor area also offers a 360-degree panoramic view, allowing you to enjoy the city through large glass walls.
As the evening progresses, the vibe naturally shifts. What starts off calm and relaxed slowly becomes more social. On live music nights, the energy picks up, but it never feels overwhelming. It stays lively without becoming loud.

The cheese pizza was simple, warm, and satisfying, with a soft base and generous cheese that made it easy to enjoy over conversation. It didn’t try to be fancy, but it delivered exactly what you expect from a good rooftop snack.
The spring rolls were crispy on the outside and well-filled, served hot and fresh. They worked well as a light starter and were easy to share. The cheese balls were another crowd-friendly option, crispy on the outside with a soft, cheesy center that made them especially enjoyable with drinks. It was one of my favourite from view brew as i love cheese.
We also tried the mushroom chilli, which stood out for its balanced flavor. It was well-seasoned, slightly spicy, and not overly oily, making it a good choice for those who enjoy bold flavors without heaviness.
Along with food, View Brew offers a good variety of drinks, which is a big part of its appeal as a rooftop restaurant in Kathmandu. From cocktails and mocktails to beers and Refreshments, the menu covers different preferences. What stands out is the presentation, drinks are prepared with attention to detail, served in attractive glassware, and often garnished in a way that adds to the overall experience. The portion was also really satisfying.

Orders are taken smoothly, and the team manages both dining and bar service efficiently without making guests feel rushed. The waiting time was between 15-20 minutes.
The staff contributes positively to the overall atmosphere, which is especially important in a place where people tend to stay longer and enjoy the experience at a relaxed pace.
In addition to the service, View Brew also offers good music, with a DJ playing on the rooftop. This adds to the overall vibe and makes the evening more enjoyable, especially during peak hours.
